Wood pellet testing
Forever Fuels now has it's own wood pellet testing laboratory! This will enable us to closely monitor the quality of our wood pellets and help boost our quality systems. At present we are able to test for bulk density, fines, mechanical durability and moisture. We will be purchasing additional equipment to enable us to test for ash content over the Summer.

Connections for Blown Deliveries of Wood Pellets
From 1st September 2010 we will be unable to deliver blown wood pellets to customers that do not have a Stortz 110A coupling for us to connect to. The reason for this is that we are carrying an ever increasing stock of couplings and adaptors on our delivery trucks which is now getting impossible to maintain.

Bagged Wood Pellets
Unfortunately for the second year running we have been experiencing supply issues with bagged wood pellets. As a result we have decided to invest a significant amount of money purchasing our own automated bagging equipment for our depot at Avonmouth Docks and plan to be in a position to start bagging wood pellets there around April 2010.

Update on our Wood Pellet Depot at Avonmouth
Back in the summer of 2009 we began setting up our depot for storing wood pellets at Avonmouth docks. Since then we have invested more than £300,000 on storage, handling, loading, screening, bagging and dust extraction equipment on site. We hope that the depot will be fully operational by the end of the month.

Lead Times
Current lead times are 10 - 14 days and we would ask all customers, to bear this in mind and keep a close eye on their fuel levels.

Forever Fuels goes on the road
Forever Fuels is on tour from the 8th October.
On the 8th and 9th, we have a stand at the Energy Solutions Expo at Olympia (London), as part of the Regen SW group of exhibitors promoting the potential of renewables in the south-west of England.
And from the 10th to the 12th, it's straight on to Grand Designs Live at the NEC (Birmingham).
