What is the ash content of your pellets?

Our top-grade 6mm and 8mm pellets are specified to have no more than 0.7% ash content (A0.7, using the CEN/TS 14961 classification), and in practice usually have around 0.3-0.5% ash. They are sampled and analysed to ensure that their ash content (and other aspects) complies with the specification.

The ash-content of locally-produced pellets will depend on the manufacturer and input, but it is unusual for wood pellets to have an ash content of more than 5%, and even industrial-grade pellets may often be under 1.5% ash content.
