Simpler pricing

Some customers have been telling us that they find the free-tenth-tonne arrangement for blown deliveries too complicated.

We have decided to simplify things for our customers by building this discount into our basic spot price, to be enjoyed at every blown delivery, rather than as a sporadic benefit on some deliveries. There will be no more free tonnes other than by special arrangement (see below).

As of 1 January 2012, we are therefore reducing our basic spot price for blown deliveries to:

  • £175.50/tonne from most depots, and
  • £157.95/tonne from Andover and Grangemouth.

These prices are excluding delivery and VAT.

Our delivery charge remains the same (£4.50/mile from your best-value depot).

Our volume discounts remain the same. Larger customers can get their pellets as cheap as £150/tonne from most depots and £135/tonne from Andover and Grangemouth (plus delivery and VAT). See our Bulk pellet prices page for the volume-discount structure and other pricing information.

Those customers who are already on their way to their next free tonne will not lose out. They will simply get the discount immediately at their next delivery and every delivery after that, built into the reduced basic price.

Nevertheless, if anyone is desperate to continue with the old arrangement, contact our office and we can continue the arrangement at the old basic price (£195.00/tonne from most depots, £175.50/tonne from Andover and Grangemouth) until the end of August 2012 - our next scheduled pricing review point.

Simpler still...

If that's not simple enough for you, speak to your Forever Fuels Account Manager about our inclusive contract. They can give you a fixed price including pellets, delivery, remote monitoring and automatic scheduling of refills.

For many customers, this will be cheaper than our basic spot pricing, and it's the cheapest way for all customers to get the benefits of a DELOX wood pellet level sensor.

This option is unique to Forever Fuels and for the first time makes heating with wood pellets as easy as heating with conventional fuels. Don't you have better things to do than try to guess how many pellets you've got left, how long they'll last and how far in advance you need to order the next delivery? Why not let us take care of it?

Simple, not dumb

Our prices will nevertheless continue to take account of your location and scale of demand. That's simply the reality of the costs. If we didn't do that, we'd have to over-charge some customers to subsidise others. We think cost-reflective pricing is fairest to everyone.

There's no such thing as a free lunch.
