Prices for delivery of bagged wood pellets (2011/12)

The cost of bagged wood pellets consists of a price per pallet for the wood pellets, and a price for delivery. You may incur additional costs for additional services, or if you do not comply with our conditions of supply.

Pellet prices

Our standard price for bagged, top-grade wood pellets (excluding delivery) at time of writing is £215/pallet (6mm only).

In England and Wales, we are supplying our own pallets, consisting of 80 x 12.5 kg bags (i.e. 1 tonne/pallet).

In Scotland, we are supplying Verdo pallets, consisting of 64 * 15kg bags or 96 * 10kg bags (i.e. 960kg/pallet).

Delivery prices

As of 15 Feb 2012, we are offering Verdo pallets on the mainland in Scotland for £215/pallet including delivery (ex. VAT), i.e. the delivery price is effectively zero. Please see our Conditions of Supply below. We offer minimal service to go with this low price. For a more personal service, you should buy from a local bagged-pellet specialist.

Our delivery prices for bagged wood pellets are based on pallet-hauliers' rates to postcode areas. The easiest way to find out what the delivery price to your property would be is to go to our Price Calculator and enter your details. But if you just want an indication, based on prices at the time of writing (which may be different by the time you order), you can look up which zone your postal area code is in the table below, and then look up the prices for that zone in the table below that (prices displayed are per tonne-pallet):

For those areas not covered above, prices are on request, but deliveries may not be viable to the remotest locations.

We can offer special delivery rates for a full 24-tonne delivery. We may also allow substantial commercial customers to collect (i.e. no delivery charge) from our store in Avonmouth by prior agreement. Speak to our sales team for details.

For standard delivery rates, you need to allow at least 3 working-days lead-time from order to delivery. Next-day delivery may be available for a premium, but cannot be guaranteed. We cannot guarantee a particular delivery time.

Delivery of pallets is to the kerbside. You will need a means of moving the bags from the kerbside into your store. We do not provide assistance in moving the pellets from the kerbside. For a more personalized service, please contact a local retailer of wood pellets.

Additional charges

You will be charged a Cancellation Charge if you cancel or amend your order within 3 days of the scheduled delivery date.

Conditions of supply

We are a bulk supplier, and offer a commercial (not a personal) service for the supply of bagged pellets.

We use pallet hauliers to carry the pallets to you. They are not equipped and are not pricing to drop the pallet where you would prefer. They will drop the pallet at kerbside where it is most convenient for them to park. If that is not where you want the pallet, you will have to move it yourself.
We do not sell individual bags or smaller pallets.
The pallets are loaded onto the truck by forklift. The odd bag may be torn in the process. The pellets inside should be fine. We do not offer refunds unless you can demonstrate that there has been a significant loss (more than 3 bags unusable). In that case, we will credit you £1/unusable bag against your next order.

If you want a more personal service, you should contact your local specialist supplier of bagged pellets. We can recommend bagged suppliers in many parts of the country.

We will charge you for re-delivery if the truck cannot legally park close enough to your property or for long enough to offload. We cannot guarantee when the truck will be able to return if it needs to attempt delivery a second time. If one or two bags on the pallet are damaged on arrival, and you provide clear evidence (e.g. email us a photo), we will credit that number of bags against your next order.
