Prices

Our prices depend on whether you require

• bulk (loose, delivered by a blower lorry) or
• bagged pellets (10 kg bags, by the 1-tonne pallet).

Prices quoted below exclude VAT. They are correct at the time of writing, but may have changed by the time you read this, and should therefore be viewed as illustrative and not binding. You can get an accurate, current quote by entering a few details into our Price Calculator. Although we retain the right to adjust our prices at any time, we are aiming to adjust our prices once a year, with the new prices taking effect from September.

PLEASE NOTE: We are now able to take credit card payments (All debit / credit cards except American Express & Diners card).

Bulk

The cost of bulk pellets consists of a price per tonne for the pellets, and a price per mile for delivery from our nearest depot.

To calculate the maximum delivery that you might require, assume that you will never wait until you are empty before ordering, so allow for deliveries being upto 80% of the capacity of your pellet store, and then use a figure of 0.6 tonnes/m³ for the fuel density. Roughly speaking, your largest delivery (in tonnes) will be half the capacity of your store (in m³). For example, if you have a 10 m³ store, your largest delivery may be around 5 tonnes.

Pellet prices

Our standard price for our top-grade 6mm and 8mm bulk pellets (excluding delivery) is £170/tonne.

In addition, we will throw in every tenth tonne free, to give you an incentive to keep buying from us, making an average price of £153/tonne for every 10 tonnes that you order from us. This entitlement is cumulative, and carries over from one order to the next, so you can benefit even if your store isn't big enough to take a 10-tonne delivery.

Delivery prices

Our standard cost of delivery is £3.75 per mile (by the shortest practical road route) from our nearest depot to your property (i.e. £1.88 per mile driven, for the journey there and back).

Obviously, it is difficult for you to know the distance by road from our nearest depot. But if you go to our Price Calculator page and enter the limited amount of information required there, including your postcode, it will look up the distance from our nearest depot, and give you a no-obligation quote, including the delivery charge.

We will charge you for the amount ordered, even if you do not have space for it all, and we will charge you for delivery if we cannot gain access. You should therefore take care not to order too much and to ensure that our vehicle can get close enough to your store. See our Design Guide for advice.

Bagged

The cost of bagged pellets also consists of a price per tonne (/pallet) for the pellets, and a price for delivery. However, the price per tonne is different to that for bulk, and the price for delivery is not calculated per mile, because for bagged deliveries we use pallet hauliers, whose price structure is different.

Pellet prices

Our standard price for bagged pellets (excluding delivery) at time of writing is £215/tonne (6mm only).

Delivery prices

Our delivery prices for bagged pellets are based on pallet-hauliers' rates, and are based on postcodes. The easiest way to find out what the delivery price to your property would be is to go to our Price Calculator and enter your details. But if you just want an indication, based on prices at the time of writing (which may be different by the time you order), you can look up your postal area code in the table below (prices displayed are per tonne-pallet):

For those areas not covered above, prices are on request, but deliveries may not be viable to the remotest locations.

You need to allow at least 3 working-days lead-time from order to delivery. We cannot guarantee a particular delivery time.

Delivery of pallets is to the kerbside. You will need a means of moving the bags from the kerbside into your store. We do not provide assistance in moving the pellets from the kerbside. For a more personalized service, please contact a local retailer of pellets.

VAT

All prices above (for bulk and bagged) exclude VAT. VAT is charged at the reduced rate where applicable (e.g. at 5% for pellets for domestic properties, at time of writing), and at the standard rate (17.5% at time of writing) for all other prices.
