HGV Driver
Forever Fuels is expanding the number of sites that it operates this winter, and will require a driver with an HGV Class 1 licence for each site, to drive our delivery trucks (6- or 4-wheel pressurised tankers).
Over the course of the next four months, we should begin operating from:
- Andover
- Grangemouth
- Middlewich
- Thurso
- Newmarket
- Carmarthen
- Darlington
- Carlisle
These are in the approximate order in which we expect to begin operating.
Only at Andover do we expect the position to be full-time initially. However, we will guarantee a minimum number of hours per week at the other sites.
The part-time jobs would suit someone with more existing work in summer than winter (e.g. farm workers). Our work would mostly be available (at least initially) in winter, as we supply a heating fuel.
The guaranteed hours would be negotiable and site-dependent, but, for example, we could be looking at a guaranteed 3 days per week, 5 hours per day, with additional hours by agreement, to end April 2012, with either a complete break or reduced hours in summer (1 or 2 days per week).
If performance is satisfactory, we would expect to increase the guaranteed hours again each September or October. There is potential for the position to become full-time as the market grows, or for it to remain part-time and seasonal for those who want to continue to match it with existing summer activities.
Terms are negotiable.
Training will be provided on filling the truck and blowing the pellets.
